HyproCure is GraMedica’s minimally invasive procedure performed to treat misaligned feet, which can in turn relieve a variety of conditions including plantar fasciitis, flat feet, and bunions. The procedure itself is often completed in 20-minutes or less in an outpatient setting. HyproCure is placed into the naturally occurring space between the ankle bone and heel bone via a tiny incision made below the outer ankle bone. Pins, screws, and drills are not required.
HyproCure is innovative in its ability to stabilize the foot without blocking your range of motion. Following insertion, patients will be able to move the foot and return to their regular daily activities. The minimally invasive nature of the procedure also allows patients to return to wearing their regular footwear within a few weeks.
HyproCure can correct the effects of plantar fasciitis and flat feet and reduce the progression of bunions.
The leading cause of heel pain is excessive strain where the plantar fascia inserts into the heel bone. This structure is meant to support the arch of the foot and helps to put that spring in your step.
What causes the excessive strain on the plantar fascia?
There is a very common condition where the ankle bone (talus) partially dislocates on the heel bone (calcaneus). This unlocks the joints of the foot leading to excessive strain with every step taken.
Did you know by 40 years of age you've taken more than 70 million steps? That is 70 million times the plantar fascia has become overstretched.
The good news is that there is an option that can potentially prevent the need for heel surgery.
HyProCure is a treatment option that makes sense. Restoring hindfoot stability and alignment speeds up tissue healing and can help to put that spring back into your step.
Long-term treatment success can only occur when the underlying cause is treated.
Pain to the inner area of your heel can be very debilitating. Even worse is the frustration of trying to get rid of it. There are countless numbers of heel pain treatments including:
The sad news is none of the above treatments address the underlying cause of heel pain.
