The philosophy behind Advanced Foot & Ankle Specialists, PA is a simple one: our podiatrist listens to our patients. In this day and age, the practice of health care has become increasingly stressful for patients as well as for health care staff and providers. The insurance companies’ policies have put extreme demands on the doctor/patient relationship and this causes many people to not receive the respect they deserve when receiving health care.
Since it is important for a patient to feel comfortable and confident with their doctor, our foot clinic strives to nurture and develop a one-on-one personal relationship with all of our patients and their families. By breaking away from the norm, our team is able to provide the best of health care services while creating a friendly, respectful, and relaxed environment. Added to this is our commitment to innovation and staying abreast with the latest technological advances in podiatric medicine and surgery. All of our doctors are either board certified or board eligible.
The Comfort of a Trusted Doctor
The mission of our foot clinic is to help patients and their families to feel as if they are part of our family. We communicate openly with our patients to reach an understanding of the concerns they have regarding their lower extremities. Our oath as doctors is to work with patients to meet their needs and goals for the care, relief, and recovery of their foot, ankle and leg disorders. Our podiatrist works with specialists throughout the community to provide you with the utmost care to ensure your well-being and we are dedicated to specializing to high standards of excellence and professionalism.
The staff at our office is very knowledgeable in patient care, working with electronic medical records, and assisting in patient needs. We are dedicated to providing immediate customer service and accurate, up-to-date information to our patients and strive to make you feel like you are getting the proper care, compassion, knowledge, and understanding you need to conquer your individual medical conditions. We make sure you understand all of the various treatment options available to you while guiding you towards the best options to meet your lifestyle and well-being goals.
Technology is very important to our podiatrist, which is why we only use top-of-the-line digital equipment for our treatments, including lower extremity reconstruction surgery, while striving to minimize the amount of surgical treatments you need to get back on your feet again. You can always expect quality care and attention when you work with our team and know that you’ll feel proud telling your friends, relatives, and co-workers about the positive experience you had working with us.
The Right Doctor for the Job
Please don’t take any chances with your foot care. A wellness plan that is easy to understand as well as follow is the key to good foot health for the rest of your life. Make podiatric foot care a cornerstone of that plan and you will find yourself well on your way to living a life that is both active as well as free from pain.
A podiatrist, or a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM), is a health care professional whose training focuses on the foot, ankle, and leg as well as their related body systems. After obtaining an undergraduate degree, the podiatric doctor spends four years in a college of podiatric medicine to obtain a doctorate degree. Podiatrists further their education by participating in a 3 year post-graduate residency program at an approved hospital or university. Following their doctorate degree, each podiatrist must pass national and state examinations in order to be licensed by the state in which he or she will practice. Once practicing, most podiatrists will take part in the board certification process.
The podiatric physician cares for people of all ages and can help patients with issues that can include bunions, heel pain, infections, injuries, warts, corns, sprains, and fractures. A podiatric surgeon can be single or dual certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine once he or she has successfully completed the credentialing and examination process as well as has demonstrated knowledge of podiatric medicine and surgery.
The doctors at Advanced Foot & Ankle Specialists have had extensive training in all areas of foot, ankle, and leg ailments and continuously update their knowledge. Take a look below to learn more about our podiatrist.
